CPSC, Goodman Company, L.P. Announce Recall of Amana, Trane, and American Standard Brand Package Terminal Air Conditioners/Heat Pumps
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Goodman Company, L.P., of Houston, Texas is voluntarily recalling about 875,000 Package Terminal Air Conditioner/Heat Pumps. A fire hazard may result from this chain of events: filter becomes clogged due to lack of maintenance, severely restricting airflow and resulting in elevated internal temperature; this may cause two safety switches to stop working during the product’s expected life; if the blower wheel then stops when the product is operated in the heating mode, a fire hazard can develop.

CPSC, Full Speed Ahead Announce Recall of Scatto Bicycle Wheel Quick Releases
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Full Speed Ahead, Inc. of Woodinville, Washington is voluntarily recalling about 1,375 Bicycle wheel quick releases. An internal part in the lever mechanism can break, reducing clamping effectiveness and rendering the unit inoperable, potentially causing a bicyclist to fall.

The walkers will fit through a standard doorway and are not designed to stop at the edge of a step. Babies using these walkers can be seriously injured or killed if they fall down stairs.

CPSC, Polaris Industries Announce Recall of ATVs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Polaris Industries, Inc., of Medina, Minn. is voluntarily recalling about 12,170 Polaris “Sportsman 700 EFI” ATVs. The throttle cable may bind when the handlebars are turned full left or full right, resulting in an increase in engine speed and unintended vehicle acceleration. In addition, the fuel line may rub against the vehicle chassis, resulting in a fuel line leak which could be a fire hazard.

CPSC, Natura Products Downey Inc. Announce Recall of Pacifiers
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Natura Products Downey Inc., of City of Commerce, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 9,400 Jaloma pacifiers. The pacifiers are banned under federal law. They failed federal safety tests, come apart, and can pose a choking hazard to infants and small children.

CPSC, IKEA Home Furnishings Announce Recall of Glass-Door Wall Cabinets
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), IKEA Home Furnishings, of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. is voluntarily recalling about 25,000 BERTBY Glass-Door Wall Cabinets. Some of these glass-door wall cabinets have the wrong sized screws for the safety bracket, which can result in the cabinet not being properly secured to the wall. The cabinets can fall and injure nearby consumers.

CPSC, Delta Enterprise Corp. Announce Recall to Repair Director’s Chairs for Children
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Delta Enterprise Corp., of New York, N.Y. are voluntarily recalling about 81,000 Director’s Chairs for children. The chair can inadvertently be misassembled so that the fabric seat can come off the chair’s frame and expose metal support rods. If fabric seat comes off the frame, there is a laceration and fall hazard to young children.

CPSC, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc., and Deere & Company Announce Recall of ATVs
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. of Valcourt, Quebec, Canada and Deere & Company of Moline, Illinois, are voluntarily recalling about 23,000 Bombardier and John Deere Buck all terrain vehicles (ATVs). Front brake hose can be pulled out of its retaining brackets on either side of the ATV by foreign objects. This can cause the brake hose to wear by rubbing on the inner wheel or shock absorber spring seat, ultimately causing a brake fluid leak resulting in a complete loss of front braking capacity. This can lead to an increase in the braking distance and possible collision with bystanders, fixed objects, or other vehicles, causing serious injury or death.

Mislocated welds securing the upper front suspension arm mounting brackets to the frame. The cap on the water tank can unexpectedly and forcibly project off when it is quickly unscrewed from the tank, posing a risk of impact injuries to users or bystanders.
