CPSC, Hasbro Inc. Announce Recall of NERF® Big Play Football™
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hasbro Inc is voluntarily recalling NERF® Big Play Footballs™. The football contains a hard plastic interior frame that can pose a risk of facial cuts if a child is hit during play.

CPSC, Nautilus Direct Announce Recall of Bowflex Power Pro Fitness Machines
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Nautilus Direct (doing business as Bowflex), of Vancouver, Wash., is voluntarily recalling about 420,000 Bowflex fitness machines to address two safety issues. First, while being used in the incline position, the machine's backboard bench can unexpectedly collapse and break, posing a risk of injury to the user. Second, the "Lat Tower," can rotate forward and fall during use, posing a risk of injury to the user.

CPSC, Sta-Rite Industries Announce Recall of Pool Filters
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Sta-Rite Industries, Inc. of Delavan, Wis., is voluntarily recalling about 8,500 Sta-Rite System 2 and AquaTools Filters and Filter Systems. The Posi-Lok™ locking ring, which secures the filter’s upper tank shell to the lower tank shell (see diagram below), can disengage from the lower tank shell allowing the top shell of the filter to blow off causing injury to nearby consumers.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), BBK Enterprises Inc., of San Antonio, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 630 BBK 10010 Tree Climbers. The steel back brace on the tree climber can weaken and fail, posing a serious injury hazard to the user.

CPSC, SCG Miyairi Announce Recall of Liquid Propane Overfill Protection Devices
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), SCG Miyairi (Thailand) Company, LTD, of Thailand, is voluntarily recalling about 21,000 SCG Liquid Propane Overfill Protection Devices (OPD valves). When the cylinder on the gas grill is filled to capacity and exposed to increased temperatures, liquid propane instead of gas vapor can leak out and cause the gas regulator valve to freeze. When the regulator valve thaws, if it has not been turned off, gas will flow to the grill. The resulting build-up of gas in the grill can pose a serious fire hazard to consumers.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Curiosity Kits Inc. of Hunt Valley, Md., is voluntarily recalling about 150 Discovery Kids Imaginative Arts Pottery Wheel Kits. The brown clay contained in the Pottery Wheel kits could contain excess levels of bacteria, posing a risk of illness to users.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kyocera Wireless Corp., of San Diego, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 140,000 batteries in Kyocera cell phones. The recalled batteries can short-circuit and erupt with force or emit excessive heat, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

CPSC, Browning Announce Recall of Flashlight Batteries
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Browning, of Morgan, Utah, is voluntarily recalling about 12,500 Browning CR123A lithium batteries sold with Browning Black Ice flashlights. The batteries can short out, causing the flashlight's canister to rupture and pose injury to the consumer.

CPSC, Kearney-National, Hapco Division Announce Recall of Flagpoles
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kearney-National, Hapco Division, of Abingdon, Va., is voluntarily recalling about 118 Internal Halyard Flagpoles. A partially crimped sleeve on these flagpoles can allow the cable to pull through the sleeve causing the loop to release. When the assembly is raised with no flag attached, it can allow a seven pound counter weight to drop to the ground, possibly hitting people nearby.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC),Sassi America Inc., of Elk Grove Village, Ill., is voluntarily recalling about 72,000 bottles of acrylicprimer used to prepare fingernails before applying artificial nails. This methacrylic acid primer is notpackaged in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), K'NEX Industries Inc., of Hatfield, Pa., is voluntarily recalling about 14,000 "Mud Boggers" and "Street Shredders" Pump Up Racers. The air motor in the toy cars can burst while being pumped up, causing parts of themotor or car to break off. Some of these parts can have sharp points and pose a risk of eye or laceration injuries.
