In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kmart Corp., of Troy, Mich., is voluntarily recalling about 50,000 wooden vehicles that are filled with candy. These products may be given to children as toys. The wheels on the wooden toys may break off into small parts, which may pose a choking hazard to young children.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Brooklyn Lollipop Imports & Exports, Inc. of Brooklyn, NY, is voluntarily recalling about 22,000 electric fans. These electric fans have undersized wiring, use a power plug that is not polarized, have an improperly sized grill, and overheat, all of which could cause electrocution, electric shock, fire, and finger entrapment hazards to consumers.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Century Tool and Manufacturing Co. Inc., of Cherry Valley, Ill, is voluntarily recalling about 6,300 propane-powered camping stoves. The burner assembly in the stoves can restrict the flow of gas, which can cause a leak. The leaking gas can ignite and weaken the hose, causing it to separate from the stove and pose a fire hazard to consumers.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Madrigal Audio Laboratories, Inc., of Middletown, Conn., is voluntarily recalling about 1,300 subwoofer speakers. A screw inside of the subwoofer can cause a high voltage short, which could cause a severe injury to consumers through an electric shock.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Atico International USA Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is voluntarily recalling about 60,000 Christmas tealight candles. The wick is not properly set inside the tealight, which may cause the plastic holder to melt and pose a fire hazard to consumers. Atico has received one report involving melting of the plastic holder; however, no injuries have been reported.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Elkton Sparkler Company Inc., of North East, Md., is voluntarily recalling about 1.7 million boxes of bamboo stick sparklers. The sparklers' bamboo-stick handles can catch fire, burn and disintegrate and emit burning fragments during use. The sparklers present a fire hazard and a risk of burn injury.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Wear Me Apparel Corp., of New York, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 3,000 infant girls' garments. The paint on the "smiley face" zipper-pull attached to the sweat jacket of these garments contains lead. Young children could ingest lead from the zipper-pull, presenting a lead poisoning hazard.

Philips Electronics North America Corp., through its Norelco Consumer Products Company division of Stamford, Conn. is voluntarily recalling about 11,100 3-in-1 Waffle Maker/Sandwich Maker/Grills sold under the Philips brand name. It is estimated that only 200 units have been sold to consumers. These Model HD2420 units have a white plastic enclosure and measure 11-inches wide, 11-inches long and 4 and 1/2-inches tall. "Philips" and "3 in 1" are written on the top of the lid and "MODEL HD2420" can be found on a label on the bottom of the unit. Units marked "Revision A" are not included in this recall. Target Stores sold this product from September 2002 to October 2002 for about $50. It was manufactured in China.

LTD Commodities, Inc., of Bannockburn, Ill. is voluntarily recalling approximately 11,540 3-Piece Kid's Tent Sets. The tent set consists of an "igloo," "tee pee," and connecting tunnel. Only the connecting tunnel is being recalled. They are mostly red, blue and yellow and were sold by LTD Commodities, Inc. from May 2002 through November 2002 for about $23. The tent sets were manufactured in China. The modified tunnel has a separate tag that reads: "REPLACEMENT TUNNEL."

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Oceanic USA, of San Leandro, Calif., is recalling about 24,700 Oceanic CDX first stage regulators used for scuba diving. Extreme vibration can occur within these CDX regulators, which can cause an air leakage underwater. Divers could run out of air and drown.
