Tan Nam Tofu Company Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Tan Nam Fresh SoymilkContact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Rosemead, CA -- May 6, 2005 -- Tan Nam Tofu Company, Rosemead, CA is recalling its "Tan Nam Fresh Soymilk" product sold in 64 oz. and 16 oz. plastic bottles because the labels do not declare the presence of cow's milk. People who have allergies to cow's milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The recalled Tan Nam Fresh Soymilk were distributed to retail markets in Los Angeles County . No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the Tan Nam Fresh Soymilk product was distributed in plastic bottles that did not declare milk as an ingredient on the product label.
