Roth Käse USA, Ltd Announces Recall of Spreadables Lobster Bisque and Spreadables Crab Creole Cheese Spreads Due To Undeclared AllergensContact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Monroe, Wisconsin -- July 1, 2005 -- Roth Käse USA, Ltd is recalling all Spreadables brand Lobster Bisque and Crab Creole cheese spreads because they contain egg protein, wheat and fish, which are not declared on the label. Individuals with severe sensitivity to one or all of these allergens may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if these products are consumed. Lobster Bisque and Crab Creole Spreadables were sold in 2 lb. and 7oz. containers with various code dates. Consumers may have purchased this product that was repackaged by a grocer’s deli into retail size containers labeled as Spreadables Lobster Bisque and Crab Creole. These products were sold in Wisconsin, Michigan, Massachusetts, Florida, New Jersey and Illinois. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of Lobster Bisque or Crab Creole Spreadables. Consumers who have purchased Lobster Bisque or Crab Creole Spreadables should return the product(s) to the place of purchase or call 608-328-2122 x1.
