Rose Art Industries, Inc., Issues Alert and Voluntary Recall on Certain Face PaintsContact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Livingston, NY -- March 24, 2005 -- Rose Art Industries, Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain face painting products distributed by the Company, and sold under the name "Design A Face Make-Up." The Company is taking this action after receiving consumer complaints that over 200 children have experienced minor adverse reactions from multiple colors of face paints. The reported reactions involve redness of the skin or a skin rash, irritation, itching or minor swelling in the area where the paints were applied, and the Company is not aware that any such reactions lasted more than a few days. The Company is taking this action to ensure that no children have any problems with its products. These products should no longer be available at retail. Most face paint products are used when opened, but if consumers have any of the products below, they should discard them or return them to their retailer. The Company is acting in cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration. Consumers and healthcare providers can report adverse reactions from face paints to the FDA at http://www.fda.gov/opacom/backgrounders/complain.html or to the Company by calling (800) 272-9667 or via e-mail to info@roseart.com. The following face paints manufactured by Galisa Cosmetics International, Taipei, Taiwan, and distributed under the "Rose Art" Brand are involved:
