Garments
WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission (CPSC), Little Laura of California Inc. of Los Angeles, Calif.,
is recalling about 2,000 Sweet Suzana brand infants' shirt-and-pant sets.
The shirts have tulip-shaped buttons that can break apart, presenting a
choking hazard to young children.

injuries involving these garments. This recall is being conducted to
prevent the possibility of injury.
The shirt-and-pant set is available in sizes 12, 18, and 24
months. The set includes a white and pink checked pant and a white short
sleeve shirt with a white and pink checked collar. The front of the shirt
is decorated with pink and green vinyl tulip appliqués and pink and green
tulip buttons. The shirt has two sewn-in labels at the neck. One label
reads in part, "50% cotton...50% polyester...RN#41601...MADE IN U.S.A."
The other label displays the "Sweet Suzana" trademark.
Kids R Us stores nationwide sold the garments from January 1997 through
March 1997 for about $14.
Consumers should stop using these garments immediately and return
them to the nearest Kids R Us store for a full refund. For more
information about this recall, consumers should call Little Laura of
California Inc. at (800) 213-1994, extension 233. The number is
