July 18, 2002- Vacation Station Children's Cooler/Chairs Recalled by Hilton Hotels Corporation
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hilton Hotels Corporation, of Beverly Hills, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 27,000 Vacation Station children's cooler/chairs. When the chair collapses the folding mechanism can pose a crushing, cutting or severing hazard to consumers' fingers.
April 4, 2002- Crystal Mountain Water Cooler Corp. Recalls Water Coolers
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Crystal Mountain Water Cooler Corp., of Alberta, Canada is voluntarily recalling about 12,000 hot & cold water coolers. Approximately eighty percent of the water dispensers were sold in the United States. The hot & cold water dispenser's heater band can short circuit, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
September 7, 1999- Water Distillers Model W10120 Recalled by West Bend
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the West Bend Co., of West Bend, Wis., is recalling about 16,000 model W10120 water distillers used to purify water. These distillers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
March 4, 1997- Sears Water Filter Cartridges Recall by Ecodyne
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Ecodyne Water Systems of St. Paul, Minn., is recallingabout 14,000 Sears water filter cartridges used to filter drinking water.The filter cartridges, which are distributed by Ecodyne, were soldunder the name "Sears Chemical Contaminant/Taste and Odor Filter" and fitmost standard-sized under sink and counter top water filterhousings.
October 15, 1992- Dial Replaces 1990 D5500 Evaporative Water Cooler Pump
Dial Manufacturing, Inc. of Phoenix, AZ,in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC), has voluntarily initiated a replacement program for150,000 Model D5500 evaporative water cooler pumps sold in 1990and 1991. Some of the pumps may have misaligned motor bearingsthat could cause the pumps to fail and, under certain conditions, catch fire.
