July 23, 2001- Inca Imports Recalls Stuffed Bears
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Inca Imports, of Denver, Colo., is voluntarily recalling about 2,600 stuffed bears. The noses, bells, and eyes of the bears can detach, presenting a choking hazard to young children. The eyes also present a sharp point hazard.
July 10, 2001- DSI Toys Recall of Toy Kittens
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DSI Toys, Inc., of Houston, Texas, is voluntarily recalling about 238,000 stuffed toy kittens. These toys contain contaminated water that, if contacted, could cause illness to children.
May 24, 2001- Push'n Pop Toys, Giant Bicycle Forks and Candle Recalls
Raymond Geddes & Co. Inc., of Baltimore, Md., is voluntarily recalling about 6,500 Tropical Fish and Rockin' Reptile Push'n Pop toys, which are also known as Zapper toys. The balloon tongues and the cylinders holding the tongues on these toys can detach, which poses choking and aspiration hazards to young children. Giant Bicycle, Inc., of Newbury Park, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 2,400 Giant-brand bicycle front forks. The forks can break during use causing the rider to lose control of the bicycle, fall and suffer serious injuries. Schottenstein and Value City Department Stores, of Columbus, Ohio, are voluntarily recalling about 10,800 candles. The candle flame can ignite the silver paint coating on the candle container, presenting a fire hazard.
May 10, 2001- Snuggle® Teeny Bean Bears Included with Fabric Softener Recalled by Unilever Home and Personal Care USA
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Unilever Home and Personal Care USA, of Greenwich, Conn., is voluntarily recalling about 150,000 Snuggle® Teeny Bean Bears with a nightcap and pom-pom. The yellow pom-pom can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
March 5, 2001- McDonald's "Scooter Bug" Happy Meal Toy Recall
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), McDonald's Corp., Oakbrook, Ill., is voluntarily recalling about 234,000 "Scooter Bug" toys. The toys were distributed with McDonald's Happy Meals for children under 3 years of age. The bug's antenna can break off, posing a choking hazard to young children.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Gateway Inc., of San Diego, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 1 million foam rubber toy cows. Small pieces of these foam rubber cows can tear away, posing a serious choking hazard to young children.
September 2, 1999- Precious Moments Tender Tails Toys Recalled by Enesco
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Enesco Corp., of Itasca, Ill., is recalling the pom-poms from about 472,000 Precious Moments® Tender Tails® stuffed toys. The pom-poms on these toys can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
June 16, 1999- Stuffed Sock Monkeys Recalled by Restoration Hardware
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Restoration Hardware Inc., of Corte Madera, Calif., is recalling approximately 12,000 Sock Monkey stuffed animals. Sewing needles or pins have been found in the stuffing of these monkeys presenting a laceration hazard.
October 20, 1998- Stuffed Animal Recall & Repair Bi-fold Doors
Two safety recalls were conducted by firmsin cooperation with the CPSC. Great American Toy Co. Inc.,of Port Washington, N.Y., is recalling about 18,700 stuffedcrabs. The crab's antennaes have sharp wires, presentinga puncture wound hazard to children. Schweiss Distributing Co., ofFairfax, Minn., is recalling to repair approximately 500 bottom-operated, bi-fold doors. The doors lack a safety shield which could allow door operators and bystanders to become entrapped in movingdoor parts, such as the drive drums and cables, causingserious injuries such as amputations and fractures.
July 9, 1998- Jet Fighter & Animal Squeak Toys Recalled by In-Mar Trading
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), In-Mar Trading Inc., of Dorado, Puerto Rico, is recalling more than 10,000 various plastic toys. The squeeze toys that are part of this recall each contain a squeaker, and the jet fighter toy contains small parts, all of which can become separated from the toy. These small parts present a choking hazard to young children, and in some cases, an aspiration hazard which could result in death.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Nancy Sales Co. Inc. of Chelsea, Mass., is recalling about 4,100 bean bag crab toys. The toys' seams can separate and allow plastic pellets to be released, presenting an aspiration hazard to young children.
