October 15, 2003- Buck Knives Inc. Recall of Pocket Knives
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Buck Knives Inc., of El Cajon, Calif., is voluntarily recalling MiniBuck Black Pocket Knives. The black plastic handles of the pocket knives can crack, posing a risk of injury from the blade.
August 29, 2002- Apple Slicer/Corer Recalled by Leifheit International USA
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Leifheit International USA Inc., of Melville, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 31,000 apple slicers/corers. The cutting blade can separate from the center-coring ring during use causing cuts to consumers' hands and fingers.
February 21, 2002- Cutco Cutlery Corporation Recalls Knife Blocks
Cutco Cutlery Corporation of Olean, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 28,000 knife block sets. The knife blocks are constructed of wood and designed to be portable or wall mounted. The recalled knife blocks are in the Cutco Space Saver Set. The Space Saver Set contains five knives, a sharpener, and the knife block. Only the knife block is involved in this recall; the knives are not part of this recall. The Space Saver Set was sold nationwide from August 1997 through October 2001 for about $350.
