July 12, 2005 - NBTY Inc. Recall of Multivitamins
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), NBTY Inc., of Bohemia, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 12,000 bottles of Nature’s Bounty and Natural Wealth Brand Multivitamins. The vitamins contain iron, but do not have child-resistant packaging as required by federal law. They could cause serious injury or death if ingested by a child.
June 13, 2005 - The Perrigo Co. Recall of Multivitamins
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Perrigo Co. of South Carolina, of Greenville, S.C., is voluntarily recalling about 14,000 bottles of H.E.B. vitamins with iron. The vitamins contain iron, but do not have child-resistant packaging as required by federal law, which could cause serious injury or death if ingested by a child.
January 28, 2005- Leiner Health Products Recall of Multivitamins
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Leiner Health Products, of Carson, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 13,000 containers of Long’s Central-Vite Multivitamins. The vitamins, which contain iron that can cause serious injury or death if ingested by children, do not have child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.
March 12, 2002- Leiner Health Products Recall of Dietary Supplements Containing Iron
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Leiner Health Products, of Carson, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 14,000 bottles of dietary supplements containing iron. The supplements being recalled are not packaged in child-resistant packaging as required under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. If ingested by children, these iron-containing supplements can cause serious injury or death.
March 10, 1999- Dietary Supplements Recalled by Sanapac
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), The Sanapac Co., of Dallas, Pa., is voluntarily recalling about 140,000 bottles of dietary supplements containing elemental iron. The supplements being recalled are not packaged in child-resistant packaging as required under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. If accidentally swallowed by children in toxic amounts, these supplements can cause serious injury or death.
