July 21, 1997- Vitamins & Medicines Recalled by Lex Pharmaceutical
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product SafetyCommission (CPSC), Lex Pharmaceutical Inc. of Medley, Fla., is recallingabout 25,000 bottles of vitamins and medicines because they do nothave child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison PreventionPackaging Act. If accidentally swallowed by children, these products cancause serious injury or death.

In cooperation with the U.S. ConsumerProduct Safety Commission (CPSC), Private Formulations,Inc., the manufacturer of Revco Brand Pain Reliever andRevco D. S. Inc., of Twinsburg, Ohio, are voluntarilyrecalling approximately 7,000 bottles of Revco Brand PainReliever. The pills, which contain 500 milligrams of thepainkiller acetaminophen and are sold in bottles of 500caplets, were not packaged in child-resistant containers asrequired by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.
