May 18, 2005 - Robert Bosch Tool Corp. Recall of Circular Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Robert Bosch Tool Corp., of Mount Prospect, Ill., is voluntarily recalling 69,000 BOSCH Circular Saws.The lower blade guard can malfunction, creating a risk of injury as severe as amputation.
March 27, 2003- Hitachi Koki U.S.A. Recall to Repair Circular Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Hitachi Koki U.S.A., Ltd., of Norcross, Ga., is voluntarily recalling about 14,300 circular saws. The lower blade guards on these saws can stick in the open position, exposing the blade and posing a serious laceration hazard.
December 19, 2002- Makita U.S.A. Inc. Recall to Repair Circular Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, (CPSC), Makita U.S.A. Inc., of La Mirada, Calif., is recalling about 180,000 circular saws. The lower blade guard of the saw can become jammed, which can result in the consumer coming in contact with the blade and suffering a serious injury.
April 4, 2002- DeWALT Industrial Tool Co. Recall to Repair Circular Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, (CPSC), DeWALT Industrial Tool Co., Baltimore, Md., is voluntarily recalling about 55,000 heavy-duty, lightweight circular saws. The spindle on the saw may slip, causing the blade to contact the lower guard, posing a hazard to the consumer from an exposed blade.
September 13, 2001- Ryobi Recall to Repair Circular Saws
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Ryobi Technologies Inc. (RTI), of Anderson, S.C., is recalling to repair about 125,000 circular saws. The lower blade guards on these saws can stick in the open position, posing a risk of serious injury to the operator and bystanders.
